Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th 1996 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 and received great reviews from the music blogosphere as well as press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are among the artist's most notable covers. Katy Perry, who endorsed the hit song Runaway with her voice, also gave the song a boost of recognition. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of locating a piano in her attic and being awed with the sounds it could produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes to pursue music as an interest or a career. Her first step was to compose her own songs. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with an affinity for Bjork's style. Her decision to begin performing her music in public when her mother suggested that they might help others not to gain fame with her work but to make the people around them understand the importance of their work and how they can affect the world. The piano was her first instrument at age six and making music at the age of nine. The family members didn't know about it until the age of 14. It was never a dream to turn into Aurora. As she says, she loves writing music. She claims that music is her preferred method to feel anything.
